MARK STYLER Co., Ltd. (President: Kenji Eto, Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo,henceforth addressed as MARK STYLER)hosted an invite-only fashion show called the 2014 Spring/Summer Collection touchMe (henceforth addressed as touchMe), for two days, on Friday, October 11th, 2013 and Saturday, October 12th, 2013.

 

As fashion collections are being held worldwide, the 2014 Spring and Summer season fashion trends are gaining a large amount of attention.  On Friday, October 11th, and Saturday, October 12th, 2013, Mark Styler successfully hosted an invite-only fashion show, touchMe, which attracted 8,500 people.

The feverish venue was visited by numerous famous artists popular for their unique fashion styles, such as Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Maomi Yuki, and Tsubasa Masuwaka, who donned the participating brands to further excite the crowd.

Solo shows by “dazzlin”, “MURUA”, and “EMODA”, and 3 collaborative shows were held, for a total of 6 shows. Show pieces that pay special attention to detail, a show coordinated by Yoshio Wakatsuki, of DRUMCAN Inc., and numerous collaborations with high profile stylists known both domestically and internationally, all impressed the crowd. Through its styling that emphasizes each brand’s unique traits and worldviews, Mark Styler serves to spread its Tokyo-originated fashion trends, both domestically and internationally, especially focusing on Asia, in order to stir up a large movement in each region.

Furthermore, this year’s touchMe featured many guests with large amounts of influence and a large number of connections in foreign countries, in order to further spread Tokyo’s creative culture, and the numerous corresponding events, worldwide. Cooperating with the Ministry of Economics, Trade, and Industry, Mark Styler continues to contribute to the development of the government’s “Cool Japan” initiative.

On October 12th, the final day of the event, the “touchMe AFTER PARTY supported by RUNWAY channel” was held in a circuit style, in 20 different venues. The 9 main venues starred the brands featured in touchMe, showcasing its designs to the audience, while the other venues had a constant stream of footage from touchMe. About 30,000 spectators, their bodies engulfed in their own beautiful fashion, enjoyed the after show.
